We traveled to Eldora the day after Christmas to spend it with my family.  Fortunately this year the roads were clear- in fact there was no snow in sight!

Goodenbour Family Christmas

We were fortunate to be able to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Doug's family.  We open presents and have the traditional coffee cake and egg bake- delicious!!

My Kindle

Aiden (AKA Doug) got me a present for Christmas- even though we weren't supposed to be getting each other anything.  Doug's response was that he had no idea what it was, Aiden bought it and wrapped it for me... right.  It was a Kindle Fire- and I love it!

Ritter (Extended family) Christmas

We were able to get together in Grinnell the Saturday (a week) before Christmas for the extended Ritter family Christmas. Aiden was spoiled at his first Christmas!

For the UNI vs Iowa (I think??) basketball game we all dressed in our UNI gear.  When trying to get Aiden to look at the camera, it only worked if I was standing behind it.  Otherwise he would look at me.  Then, when he finally looks at the camera- the picture is blurry!!  Oh well, he still looks cute!

December - Uncle Jeff's Visit

Wow- has it really been a month since my last post?!? Oops! Well, where to start?  Let's start with Uncle Jeff's visit.  Doug's brother lives in Los Angeles and came back for the holidays.  He was able to stay with us for a week and half.  We capitalized on his time with us and he watched Aiden for three days.  I was a little nervous- more for Jeff's sanity than Aiden's safety.  I knew that Aiden would be fine- I just hoped he wouldn't drive Jeff away :)  They did great together (despite the diaper blowout on the first day), and Aiden has a new best friend.
