Twice a year my school has a Renaissance Assembly. This is an academic 'pep rally' in which we celebrate student's success in the classroom. The Fall assembly is during the school day and usually has a game show/ activity that it is centered around. This year it was about "advertising" student success. Each seminar (similar to a homeroom, but the students are in the same group all 4 years of high school) was responsible for creating a commercial parody promoting Mid-Prairie. As a kick-off to the assembly, we showed the students the following video. The students in the video were asked various questions, such as what's your favorite part of being back at school and why are you proud to be a Golden Hawk. They had no idea what was happening behind them. Just goes to show that Mid-Prairie teachers will do anything for their students!
Enjoy! (PS- I only make a small entrance, I'm really not the dancing type)
haha, thanks for posting this. Was hilarious! What a cool idea. My daughter started dancing to the music too, lol
