Easter Weekend: Eldora

For our 'Spring Break/Easter Break', we had Friday through Monday off and we decided to head to our parents for the extended weekend.  First was to Eldora to visit my parents.  Aiden did very well in the car- thanks to a portable DVD player and an Elmo Travel DVD :)

One advantage of Eldora is that the preschool is just across the street.

Aiden and 'Bapa' going to play at preschool.

Feeding the bunnies.

Being really brave and petting Oreo (or is it Bandit?)

On the teeter totter

Grandpa had to climb up to help Aiden up.

How many people does it take to get Aiden to the top??

And down he goes!

This was more his size

Daddy just couldn't resist playing, too.

Team effort to get Aiden up- haha!

Grandpa might have shown Aiden how to throw snow balls at Grandma...

Going back for more.

Hanging out on the couch.

Aiden sure loves his Bapa

Grandpa is singing "Wheels on the Bus" in a weird voice and Grandma is cracking up.

Shoveling

A few weeks ago we had a snow day, so Doug went outside to snow blow and shovel.  When we got out there we discovered our neighbors had plowed our driveway, so there wasn't much to do.  Of course, since Daddy got all geared up to go outside, Aiden wanted to as well.  So we let Aiden go outside and 'help' Daddy shovel.

Family Fun Night

The Coral Ridge Mall has a Family Fun night the last Friday of every month.  They have free carousel rides, free kids meals at the food court, and free entrance to the Children's Museum. We decided to check it out with our friends the Lerdals.

Happy before the carousel ride.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but this was the carousel started.  This was also where Aiden decided he did not like the carousel and I was helping him get off of the horse.

Shopping at the grocery store in the Children's Museum.

Picking fresh fruit.

Driving the ambulance.

Doesn't he look like such a big boy with his hair cut?!?

Playing the drums

Playing the drums together.

Playing the marimba.

Rolling the ball down the shoot...

Flying the airplane.

After all the fun, we got changed into our pjs for the trip home.

Growing Up

Aiden is growing into such a big boy- sometimes it's hard to believe the little person he is becoming.

Where'd it go?

One of our favorite phrases Aiden says is "Where'd it go?"  He says it in this cute high pitched, questioning voice that is just too cute!
