Life Changes
As most of you know, Doug and I were wanting to move closer to our families. With that, we quit our jobs and sold our house, without knowing exactly where we'd end up and what our jobs would be. God has definitely been watching out for us. Doug's parents have graciously opened up their house to us as we begin the search for a house. Doug has secured a job as an assistant manager for a new business in Cedar Falls. The business is called Cherry Berry and is a frozen yogurt store. He is excited to be able to use his major (Business Administration) and help get a new business in the community. I (Briana) have accepted a job with Cedar Falls High School, teaching math. It will be 0.9 time (one class less than full time) and I will teach Geometry, Honors Pre-Calculus, and Math for Daily Living.
We had been busy packing up our house over the last month and moving day finally arrived. This past Saturday, 12 people helped us load our belongings into a U-Haul (don't even get me started on the issues we had with U-Haul). 7 of us took the truck to our storage unit in Waterloo and unloaded. Ashley and Mike were so generous with their time and muscles and went back to Kalona with us to help pack one more load. We are so blessed with friends and family who were willing to help! THANK YOU!!!
Aiden's 2nd Birthday
Where did the time go?!? How is our baby 2?!? It has been a wonderful 2 years and Aiden is growing into such a little boy! Because of everything going on, we didn't have a formal birthday party. We celebrated a little here, a little there, and then some more.

So much more civilized than last year...
Memorial Day Celebration
We invited the usual gang over to enjoy our day off and also as a kind of 'goodbye' party.
Chatting
These two buddies will still have to get together and hang out.

Baby James!
My best friend Megan had a baby boy on March 6th. We went down to visit a few days after that, but haven't seen them since. Fortunately, her cousin, who lives about 15 miles away, was graduating- so Megan, Zeb and James stopped by after the graduation celebration. Aiden was enamored with James, but only let Mommy hold him if she was also holding Aiden.
Playing at the Park with Kinley
Our friends the Lerdals invited us over to grill and we decided to go to a school playground to let the kids run off some energy first.
