Wellman (the town where I teach, about 6 miles West of Kalona) was having a Pork Festival. Some of the events included a free-will donation breakfast, petting zoo, kids games, and watching pigs being born. We decided to participate in the first three and pass on the last :) The petting zoo was more of a look-at-zoo, but Aiden still enjoyed seeing the animals. Also, the games were a little too big for Aiden, but he loved seeing other kids.
Got our hat on (from Aunt Ashley) and are ready to go!
Looking at the mule
"Moo"
Getting nice and close
Bunnies!
Trying to reach the mule.
Walking around the inflatable tunnel. We decided not to have Aiden climb through this, as one of us surely would have also had to go in...
Sitting in the extra cars. The rest were pulled behind a tractor. We didn't think Aiden would sit for the entire ride.
Looking at the BIG tractors with Daddy.
"I can do this!"
Daddy helping with the hammer.
Getting a sticker from the Pig mascot.
Back to the animals- they have baby pigs now! Definitely one of the highlights of the trip was one of the little piggies got out and there were 10 kids chasing it around the park. They did catch it eventually.
Look at the horns!
