Stair climber
We could be in trouble! Aiden has discovered he can climb stairs! Fortunately they are out of the way of his play area, so he doesn't really encounter them.

Doug's Birthday
Today (February 5th) is Doug's 26th birthday. Happy Birthday Doug! My sister, Ashley, and Doug's friend from high school/college, Mike, came down for the weekend. Mike's birthday is also in February, and the boys had free dinner coupons for the buffet at the casino in Riverside (about 10 minutes from Kalona). So, we all went for dinner at the casino. After dinner Ashley, Mike, and Doug went in to the casino to lose a little money and Aiden and I went and hung out by the pool. This is where the video of Aiden crawling is shot (in the hotel hallway).
Look ma, no hands!
Since Aiden is much more mobile, he likes to keep his hands free for crawling. That means he has to carry his toys somehow else. But where?? The answer to that riddle= Using his mouth. So, Aiden likes to put toys in his mouth without holding them.
Daddy giving Aiden horns so he can look like a bull with a nose ring :)
8 Months Old!!
Believe it or not, but our little munchkin is 8 months old!! Wow- where has the time gone? Aiden is a happy, calm baby who definitely has a personality of his own. He is very determined, and like his mother, not the most patient person. We had some friends over to play games and we were sitting at the kitchen table. Aiden was playing on the floor in the living room. We built a little barricade to keep him in the living room- but he wasn't having it. He wanted to play games with us in the dining room. Here he is crawling through our barricade.
Doug that it was a good day to put him in a Cub's outfit (even though it's definitely not the right season).
No hands and my tongue stuck out.
Squeaky Book
Aiden loves reading, but loves 'squeaking' his book even more. He pulls his hand across the book and it makes an goose-bump-inducing sound.
Snuggling with Daddy
Aiden was a little bit sleepy. And he wanted to snuggle. So cute!
I think that in this picture Aiden was pushing on Doug's throat. Hence the look of pain from Doug :)
No more sleepy boy!
More crawling under the table
Aiden is really crawling now. He loves to crawl under things and over things. Sometimes he gets stuck, but he is determined.
